I think the PE class is worth it for long haul flights. There was priority check in and baggage handling at YVR airport but none at CTS since AC doesn't have their own counters there. But there is no dedicated washroom for PE so we had to go to economy class to use the washrooms. Once again in 777-300 but this time the PE cabin is separated from economy.
In September I was PE for another trip to CTS via NRT. The priority check in also helped because when we got to the airport the line for economy class was super super long so it was good that we could check in at a dedicated counter. It's a configuration of 2-2-2 in PE class so it was quite comfortable. Coming back from BCN the flight was operated by air Canada rogue and the PE class is basically the business class on the plane.
And washrooms are shared among PE and economy class. The PE cabin is in front of the economy class with no divider except for middle row. I have to agree with some posters here that for best experience go with 787. I have flown in PE a few more times since my review in May 2016.
